Round two of the Cornwall and West Devon League took place on Saturday 6th May at Plymouth College. Teams competing included Plymouth Leander, Dinnaton and Torridgeside.
This was always going to be a challenging gala for Devonport.
There were some close finishes, Sam Bowden in the 11 and under 50m freestyle battled for second place. Jodie LePage in the 100m open backstroke also matched second place. Devonport’s success came from the boys 13 and under medley and freestyle relay team comprising of Tom Morse, Tom Mermagen, Nat Chartres and Sam Tucker, the boys claimed first place in both events.
Reece Dunn clinched another valuable first in the 11 and under 25m butterfly.
Tom Morse swam a strong race in the 13 and under 50m backstroke that saw a tight finish for first place.
The teams finished with Devonport in 4th place with 79 points, Torridgeside 3rd with 119 points, Dinnaton were runners up with 130 points, Plymouth Leander were convincing winners with 175 points.
