The county competitions drew to a close at the weekend with the 2007 relay gala on Saturday 24^th March and Sprint Meet on Sunday 25^th March. Twelve regional teams took part in this year’s gala.

Our girls’ 15/16 4 x 50m freestyle team took 4^th overall with a new PB of 2.11.29, Abby McBeath, Abbey Ward, Nicki Stepp and Jade Leeke. The girls went on to take 5^th overall in the 4 x 50m medley relay in another personal best time of 2.27.00.

The afternoon continued the improvement in PB’s. The girls’ 11/12 medley team took nine seconds off their entry time, Rebecca Ward, Sinead Davies, Laura Moreno-Chamorro and Victoria Philpot. The boys 13/14 years team of Tom Morse Ryan Moreno-Chamorro, Tom Mermagen and Nat Chartres matched the girls final placing with 4^th overall in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay, however they went one better and took 4^th in the 4 x 50m medley.
