The 2007 Sprint Meet took place on Sunday 25th March. To enter swimmers must compete in all four stroke categories. BAGCAT awards are given to the top six swimmers in each age group. Sam Wilkes (14yrs) took second in both the 50m freestyle and 50m breastroke, she went on to take a 5th place in the 50m butterfly. Sinead Davies had a 3rd place in the 11 years 50m breastroke (42.47). Jon Hall (10 yrs) had 4th place in the 50m breastroke (47.64). A strong boys’ contingent included Tom Morse (14yrs) who had two third places for the 50m breastroke and 50m freestyle. He went on to clinch 4th in the 50m backstroke and 5th in the 50m butterfly. Tom Mermagen (14 yrs) had a 4th in the 50m butterfly and 5th in the 50m freestyle. Ryan Moreno-Chamorro clinched second spot in the 50m breastroke (36.44).BAGCAT awards went to Tom Morse who was 3rd overall and Tom Mermagen who was 6th. In the girls 14 years age group, Sam Wilkes took 4th place overall. This gala concludes the Devon Championships.
