The 14th annual Exeter Sprint Meet took place on Sunday 23rd September, with Devonport one of seventeen participating teams.

Connor Andrews (9yrs) had an excellent meet. He reached all four stroke finals taking top spot in the 50m breastroke, a further 4th place in the 50m backstroke and two further 5th places. Well done Connor!

Nat Chartres (14yrs) had a great meet again making all four finals. Nat took first place in the 50m freestyle (27.87.) A close second in the 50m breastroke (36.99), a third place in the 50m backstroke (33.90) and 6th in the 50m butterfly (35.67). Nat also picked up a bronze medal from the 100m IM. Nat was gaining PBs to qualify for the finals and again rewriting his times in the final, excellent!

Sinead Davies made three finals with a great win in the 50m breastroke (42.54). Sinead went on to take 4th overall in the 50m backstroke and 5th in the 50m butterfly.

Rebecca Ward (12yrs) made the 50m backstroke final and went on to take 4th spot. (38.42).

Other swimmers took personal best times from the heats in what was a highly competitive meet. Thanks to our poolside helpers, Sarah and Charlaine and to head coach, Terry Mansell. Results can be found in the members area.
