The annual Devon County Championships began brightly at Tiverton with a contingent of Devonport swimmers making the journey. Highlights included Ryan Moreno-Chamorro (15yrs) taking a bronze medal in his age group for the 200m breaststroke. Bethany Ward (9yrs) also made the final of the 200m backstroke and took 4^th spot (3.36.79).

Attention switched to Central Park for the next weekends racing. Ryan Moreno-Chamorro matched his previous performance with a 3^rd place in the 50m breaststroke. Nat Chartres (14yrs) clinched 5^th place in the same event. Tom Mermagen (15yrs) earned himself a place in the 100m IM final taking 6^th place. Devonport had several swimmers with qualifying times for these championships demonstrating their rate of improvement.
