On the weekend of 04/05 May Jordan Nicholson became the first swimmer for a number of years to represent Devonport Royal in an individual Regional Gala. Having achieved qualification at the Devon Championships, Jordan swam at the SW Region Youth Championships at Millfield in the 100M and 200M backstroke events. In a very high level competition, which included swimmers from the two best teams in the country, Jordan acquitted himself very well, swimming a long course personal best time of 1:11.25 in the 100M backstroke and close to his personal best at 2:32.55 for the 200M backstroke.  Well done to Jordan, who can be very proud of his achievements.  Also, thanks to the Dinnaton team coach who looked out for Jordan on poolside.
