Devonport Royal Swimming Association’s news and other information
On 29 June 2008, Jordan Nicholson and Sinead Davies became the first swimmers for a number of years to represent Devonport Royal at the South West Region Sprint gala. This gala is for those swimmers who have swam at an individual SW region event but have not yet achieved National Qualifying times.
Jordan swam the 50m breaststroke in 38.40, the 50m freestyle in 29.05, the 50m backstroke in 33.66, the 50m butterfly in 31.64 and the 100m individual medley in 1.10.01. In a competitive field Jordan’s best placing was 7th in the IM.
Sinead swam the 50m breaststroke in 41.38, the 50m freestyle in 32.63, the 50m backstroke in 36.52, the 50m butterfly in 35.40 and the 100m individual medley in 1.20.65. Sinead’s best placing was 5th in the Fly.
