The Club Championships continued on Monday 13th October with five more records being broken. Finley Bowden had a fantastic swim in the 9/10year old 100m butterfly to set a new record time of 1.57.31. Tom Mermagen in the 15/16 year old age group also set a new record in the same event of 1.08.85. Jess Fennell had a great evening breaking three records – in the 15/16 year age group she set new records in the 100m butterfly, 1.17.17 and in the 100m IM, 1.16.57. She also set a new record time of 29.61 in the 50m freestyle championship.
The third evening of the Club Championships took place on Monday 20th October with Jess Fennell continuing to set new record times. In the 15/16 year 50m butterfly she set a new record time of 33.44 and in the open 200m IM a new time of 2.43.83. Nat Chartres swam an excellent race to take the record for the 15/16 year old 100m freestyle in 59.43. Another great swim came from Ryan Moreno-Chamorro who set a new record in the 15/16 year 50m breaststroke of 34.51.In the 17 and over age group Louise Brightwell recorded a time of 34.01 to set a new record in the 50m butterfly.
A big Well Done to all the swimmers who competed and produced some excellent swimming and a big Thank You to all the volunteers without whom these galas couldn’t take place.
